Toddlers Bedroom
The brief was to be girly and include glitter so I removed all dado rails and prepared the walls. I chose pastels and greys to keep the colours soft and added glitter to the grey paint to give it sparkle. Lastly I decided on rustic flooring which really complemented the pastels. I suggested a mini house bed for their toddler which was safe so we built the sided bed with under bed storage and wrapped fairy lights around the bed for that magical feel.
Loft Conversion
The client wanted light colous so I suggested pastel pink and grey which complemented the white high ceilings. As there was a lot of white space in the ceilings I recommended grey woodwork throughout with a waffle effect grey carpet for added texture. For the feature wall I used wood flooring to give it a rustic feel.
Children's Beach Themed Bedroom
This little girls favourite place is spending time on the beach at her Nanny and Grandad's house so I decided to incorporate this into her bedroom theme. I painted the walls pale yellow and the feature wall was a 3D wallpaper mural of a beach scene. The wall behind the bed was finished in silver glitter paint and I accessorised with palm leaves and made a bespoke name plaque with pebbles. In keeping with the theme we built a beach hut style bed on stilts to maximise floor space with under bed lighting.
Girls Rainbow Themed Bedroom
This was for a girls bedroom who loved rainbows. I removed the dado rail off the back wall, prepared the wall then created a rainbow feature wall. We recommended a high bed so their daughter could have more space. To maximise floor space we built a high rise bed with 10mm toughened safety glass to give the illusion of see through bed.
Children's Bedroom
This room was for a girl who loved unicorns so I recommended soft pastel colours in a striped feature wall. The rest of the walls were painted pink with silver glitter added to the final coat for added sparkle. Finally I recommended matching curtains and accessories including a feather light and unicorn inspired name plaque.
Spa Themed Bathroom
The client wanted a 'spa' inspired bathroom so I designed the bathroom with this in mind. I chose beige matt tiles for the walls and floor and for the shower enclosure I chose pebble tiles in beige and browns to give it a natural spa feel.
Gold Themed Playroom
This was a girls playroom so I wanted to keep it girlie yet sophisticated. I opted for metallic gold and white stripes for two of the walls and pastel pink with gold glitter additives in the final coat to give it an added sparkle. Lastly I spray painted the existing light fitting gold to match the walls.
Loft Conversion Bathroom
The brief was rustic so I combined soft beige brick tiles with one feature wall of petrified wood mosaics tiles, finished with wood effect floor tiles to compliment the wood feature wall in the adjoining bedroom.
Family Bathroom
I recommended matt beige tiles throughout complimented by a splitface tile feature wall with extra lighting to really show off the tiles.
Guest Bedroom
I was recommended by the homeowners daughter to modernise their current dated guest bedroom. Firstly I suggested to make the room lighter by repositioning the furniture as the existing wardrobe was blocking natural light. To start with I removed the dado rail at the headboard end to create a subtle feature wall and to make room for a bespoke statement headboard. They wanted to keep the dado rail in the majority of the room in keeping with the rest of the house so I used a grey textured wallpaper for the lower half and a pale dusky pink paint on the top half and for the feature wall. To utilise the light from the window I moved the new wardrobe to the opposing wall and moved the existing lighting to the centre of the ceiling using a modern fabric lighting cable and velour pendant to match the bespoke headboard. Finally I covered the existing divan in grey velour which complemented the matching headboard. Finishing touches included new cream carpet to keep the room fresh & light, a modern grey bedside lamp and a faux sheepskin rug at the end of the bed.
